Today we visited Chiang Mai's most important wat.
It is located far up on a mountain side, 12km north of the city. We found a super cab who drove us to the wat (and then throughout the rest of the day). Once at the wat, you can choose to take a cable car up the last bit or the stairs-- at 20 Baht (67 cents) we splurged on the cable car up, although I choose to walk down.
There was also a 30 baht fee for foreigners only. I tried to tell them I was Bam's sister, but they didn't buy it.
The wat was beautiful and we had a great visit.
