The hot pot device heats the broth to a really hot temperature, allowing us to cook the soup right at the table. It was a really fun and social way to have dinner, and I am surprised these hot pots are not more popular in the US. I have a feeling my parents would really enjoy this type of dinner!
It was served with a delicious sauce made of the following blended together and then added to hot water: peppers, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper and lime.
We were joined for dinner by a few tourism masters students from the local college, who had me complete a few surveys about my experience in Thailand for their disertation.
