Lao Great Wall

Our first stop in Laos was referred to as "The Great Wall."  To be honest, I have no idea why or when it was built--- I know it is old and it looks manmade, but I am going to have to do some online research to find out more information later...

The wall was very tall and long.  

We walked some down a path and around the backside of the wall, further away from the road.  Finally, we came to a sign with the shape of a cross on it.  It turns out that, built into the base of part of the wall, is a church.  There was even an alter to Mary built into the wall. It was actually pretty spectacular.
