Som Tom

I am happy to report that I was able to learn a very small amount about Thai cooking today.  I was allowed the opportunity to mix up some of the som tom we ate at lunch today.

It is a shredded papaya salad with hot pepper, garlic, salt, fish sauce, tomato and tamarind.  It is one of my favorite Thai meals, and I am hoping to find the necessary ingredients in Chicago.
